Bayou Steak

Note: This is one of those recipes from Mrs. Miller, my Home Economics teacher when I was in high school. It is so good and easy to make.

½ cup fine dry bread crumbs
½ cup evaporated milk
¾ lb. ground beef
¾ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. red pepper
1 tsp. onions, minced

Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Shape meat in for of T-bone steak, making 3 of them. Rub the surface with butter. Place the steak in a pan on the broiler rack in the oven. Broil the steak on one side until brown (6-10 minutes). Turn and brown the other side (6-19 minutes).
