Chocolate Chip Cookies

40 Cookies

Note:  This is Maggie’s, my daughter, recipe.  She won a trophy in 1988, while in Brownies, with this recipe.  It is yummy!

 ½ cup butter

¼ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar

½ tsp. vanilla

1 egg, well beaten

1 cup plus 1 Tbsp. flour

½ tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

½ cup pecan halves, chopped

6 oz. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Fold in 1 well beaten egg and beat entire mixture.  Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.  Add sifted dry ingredients to mixture: stir in pecans and chocolate chips.  Mix thoroughly.

Drop by small spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.  Bake about 10 minutes.
