NOTE: Make the BBQ sauce in the book (under Extras) and put the meatballs into the sauce. Simmer and serve warm with the sauce using toothpicks to get the meatballs out.
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. red pepper
1 onion, chopped
2 slices of bread, crumbed in a food processor
In a large bowl, mix the eggs with the seasonings. In a food processor make the 2 slices of bread into crumbs. Add the crumbs to the egg mixture. Mix well. Add the ground meat and onions. Mix well. Make meatballs about 1 ½ inches in diameter and roll in flour. Cover the bottom of the skillet with canola oil. Brown meatballs. Remove while others brown. Return all meatballs to pan, put in BBQ sauce, cover and cook over low heat about one hour or until meatballs are fully cooked.
