Momma’s Sticky Chicken

Note: Oh how my family loved this recipe…and everyone else I have ever turned it on to. When my mom made this we were always so excited. It’s very easy to make.

1 chicken, cut up
1 Tbsp. vegetable oi1n
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 onion, chopped
½ green pepper, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt, black and red pepper, to taste
¼ Kitchen Bouquet

Season one side of each chicken piece. Put a small amount of oil in a heavy pot. Put several pieces of chicken in the pot to brown and season the other side. Dust a pinch of sugar and flour on chicken, letting some flour fall in pot. When chicken is brown on all sides, put in a baking dish. Repeat with all of the chicken pieces.

When all pieces are brown, put in the onions, peppers and garlic. Lower fire and sauté. Add water and Kitchen Bouquet. Pour all over the chicken and cover with foil.

Put the baking dish in a 400 degree oven for about 1 to 1 ½ hours until chicken is tender.
Skim any grease off of the gravy and serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
