1 cup butter

½ cup sugar

2 tsp. water

2 tsp. vanilla

2 cups flour, sifted

1 cup pecan halves, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the butter and sugar, add water and vanilla.  Mix well.  Add flour and pecans.  Chill 4 or 4 hours.  Shape in balls or fingers.

Bake in oven on ungreased cookie sheet for about 20 minutes.  Cool slightly, roll in confectionery sugar.
